Before we begin however, let's first discount those professionals that may not need a website: |
If you are a professional over 60 and:
- 1- You expect to retire soon,
- and
- 2- are not considering selling your business/practice, or passing it on to your son(s)/daughter(s).
...then you most likely will not benefit much from having a website.

You Definitely Need a Website!
Now that we've got that settled, you might ask,
"What exactly is a website?" Just so that we're all on the same page, please review our
website definition.
Please note that we're talking about business and professionals. Anyone else does not necessarily
need a website, though many people have their own
personal web sites for different reasons.
WHY YOU DEFINITELY NEED A WEBSITE IN TODAY'S BUSINESS CLIMATE:
- The Internet is the new TV - The same way that television overtook radio as the foremost means of communication, the internet has done the same thing, and is here to stay!
- The Internet is the new newspaper - The newspapers are hurting these days, and it's because they haven't kept pace with the internet's ability to provide timely news online.
- The Internet is the new Yellow Pages - As more and more devices connect to the internet, the less need there will be for the 'old' phone book!
- The Internet is the new social medium - That's right, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc., are the new 'hangouts'. Online social networking has, in many ways, replaced traditional methods of socializing.
- Websites are the new business card - Your website says a lot about you and your business. After all, it's an extension of yourself. A well-designed website will help you stand out from the crowd and be noticed!
- A website can be an interactive experience for your existing and potential customers - Engaging your website's visitors lends credibility to your business, while at the same time allowing them to learn more about your business/practice and your staff.
- No other medium compares - There has never been a medium that can compare to a website on the internet. When else have you heard of a medium that delivers text, images, video, sound, and interactive feedback, WORLDWIDE, and almost instantaneously? Surely not in our lifetimes!
- To Stay Competetive - Your competition may already have the lead, by having their own interactive website. Even if you pour money into other means of advertising, you may not be able to keep pace.
